Retro Polka Dots with Not Your Dolls

At least once in their lives, we thought of wanting to have the opportunity of living in a bygone era and try to understand aspects and sensations. And that's what happened to me with this gorgeous dress with polka dots. Wear it catapulted me into a lighthearted, that straddles the late 50's and early 60. A time that I adore so much and that made me feel like in one of those old black and white film shot in a deserted Rome in August. The retro flavor and the freshness of a light cotton, the detail of a soft belt at the waist and small powder pink polka dots are the protagonists of this new outfit thanks to Not Your Dolls, Roman brand of the young designer Paola Radishes that I think of considerable talent and with whom I have already worked in the past (see post HERE and HERE). To complete the look I chose to pair of earrings to match the polka dot, always Not Your Dolls and, to give a little futuristic touch, a double triangle necklace of Plastic Shock, made entirely of plexiglass. The star sitting on the grand staircase of the Colosseo Quadrato with my thick glasses blacks gave me the boldness of a young lady of yesteryear that looks at the world from above, proud and confident.

Sunday Sixim

WOW! The sun! .. It almost like an extraordinary event in this cold spring  that does not want to learn to make room for milder temperatures. The only exception was the last Sunday where I have not missed the opportunity to wear the delightful creations Sixim Lab Comfortable and impressive clothes for a day of complete relax made of brunch with friends and boyfriend. Sixim Lab takes life by Massimo Parisi and Annalia de Falco, two young designers graduated from the Second University of Naples, who agree to enhance their creativity in a common activity. Initially aimed at creating handmade t-shirt, the project expands and takes shape under the name of Conjunto creative, a laboratory of ideas where technology is flanked to the manual and to the characteristics of the products.Their work was born from the idea of playing: do not believe in the existence of a clear separation between the real and unreal. "We have fun mix of fabrics, colors, materials and technologies, combine the graphic with the actual item, trying to create a direct continuation between what is, and is tangible and what is not there, is imagined, designed. " Some of the most common techniques used for the production are screen printing, batik, the hand coloring on fabric, shibori. All applied on top quality Italian fabrics. In my Sixim outfit i'm wearing a T-shirt with screen printing by hand with watercolor and fabric colors. It has the wide neckline and the pattern is bell-shaped with the back longer. I combined it with leggings in stretch jeans with a polka dot print. I recommend you visit their website with an impeccable Shop section and the Facebook page is constantly updated with their last creations.
