Dressing & Toppings: Retro Polka Dots with Not Your Dolls

Tutti,credo,almeno una volta nella vita, abbiamo pensato di voler avere la possibilità di vivere in un epoca passata per capirne gli aspetti e provarne le sensazioni, ed è proprio quello che mi è successo con questo splendido abitino a pois.

Indossarlo mi ha catapultato in uno spensierato periodo,quello a cavallo tra i fine anni 50 e gli inizi 60. Periodo che tanto adoro e che mi ha fatto sentire come in uno di quei vecchi film in bianco e nero girati in una Roma deserta in pieno Agosto.
Il gusto retró e la freschezza di un cotone leggero,il dettaglio di una morbida cintina in vita ed i piccoli pois rosa cipria sono protagonisti di questo nuovo outfit grazie a Not Your Dolls, brand romano della giovane designer Paola Ravanelli che ritengo di notevole talento e con cui ho già collaborato in passato(vedi post QUI e QUI!).
Per completare il look ho scelto di abbinare degli orecchini a tombolo in tinta con i pois dell'abito ,sempre Not Your Dolls e ,per dare un piccolo tocco futuristico,una double triangle necklace di Plastico Shock, realizzata interamente in plexiglass.
Lo star seduta sull'imponente scalinata del Colosseo Quadrato con i miei grossi occhiali neri mi ha regalato la sfrontatezza di una signorina d'altri tempi che guarda il mondo dall'alto, fiera e sicura di sè.

At least once in their lives, we thought of wanting to have the opportunity of living in a bygone era and try to understand aspects and sensations. And that's what happened to me with this gorgeous dress with polka dots. Wear it catapulted me into a lighthearted, that straddles the late 50's and early 60. A time that I adore so much and that made me feel like in one of those old black and white film shot in a deserted Rome in August. The retro flavor and the freshness of a light cotton, the detail of a soft belt at the waist and small powder pink polka dots are the protagonists of this new outfit thanks to Not Your Dolls, Roman brand of the young designer Paola Radishes that I think of considerable talent and with whom I have already worked in the past (see post HERE and HERE). To complete the look I chose to pair of earrings to match the polka dot, always Not Your Dolls and, to give a little futuristic touch, a double triangle necklace of Plastic Shock, made entirely of plexiglass. The star sitting on the grand staircase of the Colosseo Quadrato with my thick glasses blacks gave me the boldness of a young lady of yesteryear that looks at the world from above, proud and confident.
